information and review

O Death (Rock me Asleep)

Toll on, Thou passing bell;
Ring out my doleful knell;
For I must:
There is no remedy.

My pains, My pains who can express?
Alas, they are so strong!
My Dolours will not suffer strength
My life for to prolong.

Toll on, thou passing bell;
Ring out my doleful knell;
For I must:
There is no remedy.

Farewell, farewell, My pleasure past!
Welcome, My present pain!
I feel my torment so increase
That life can not remain.

Alone

Alone

Can nobody hear me?

Downvain

Flow, my tears, fall from your springs!
Exiled forever, let me mourn:
When night's black bird her sad infamy sings,
There let me live forever.

My torture is thrown;

Hark! You shadows that in darkness dwell.

Down, vain lights, shine you no more!
No nights are dark enough for those
That in despair their lost fortunes deplore.
There let me live forever.

MY torture is thrown;

Hark! You shadows that in darkness dwell.

Learn to contemn light
Happy they that in Hell
Fell not the world's despite!

Stay

Stay time awhile thy flying
Stay and pity me dying
For fate and friends have left me
And of comfort it bereft me

Come come close to my eyes
Better to die blessed
Than to live thus distressed
To whom should I distain thee
When this friends do distain thee
Tis time that must befriend me
Drowned in sorrow to end me

Come come close to my eyes
Better to die blessed
Than to live thus distressed
Quick quick close my eyes
Better to die blessed
Than to live here thus distressed

Disdain

The sun grow cold in the western sky
Earlier and earlier the sun submits to the moons rise
And after a summer of sorrow
I now embrace myself for a winter of despair

Every day deaths hand grips me so much tighter
And my mistakes are frozen in my mind

Even though I've ofter questioned why he has placed me here
I never had the motivation to challenge him
I once had a name but you have forgotten me
I still have a face one could never forget
Pale white
And cold with sedation in my eyes
Where there was once life

I seem to be more machine than man
Now a shadow of what I used to be
With murder in my eyes and malice in my heart
I drop the final curtain on the bloodiest of Tragedies
I quiver and shake with my remorse
As I head back into the storm from which I was born.

Now I know what it means to be alone
Now I know what it means to be so cold
A lonely assassin
With no place to go
A lonely assassin
With no place to call home
A lonely assassin
With no place to call his own.

When I Have Fears That I May Cease To Be

When I have fears that I may cease to be
Before my pen has gleaned my teeming brain,
Before high-piled books, in charact'ry,
Hold like rich garners the fuel-ripened grain;
When I behold, upon the night's starred face,
Huge cloudy symbols of a high romance,
And think that I may never live to trace
Their shadows, with the magic hand of chance;
And when I feel, fair creature O an hour!
That I shall never look upon thee more,

Never have relish in the faery power
Of unreflecting love! - Then on the shore
Of this wide world I stand alone,
and think
Till Love and Fame to nothingness do sink

Introit II (Introduction 2)

Dona eis, Domine: Et lun perpetua luceat eas.
Te deced hymnus Deus in Sion tibi reddetur
Votum in Jerusalem:
Et lux perpetua luceat eis O hear my prayer
All flesh shall come to thee Requiem:
Et lux perpetua luceat eis

(I don't know much latin, but "et lux perpetua luceat eis" means
"and let eternal light shine upon them" and this seems similar to
Mozart's Requiem..."Te deced hymnus Deus in Sion tibi reddetur Votum in
Jerusalem" ... something about a promise of hymns to God...I think? -reno)

Communion

Lux Aeturna luceat eis, Domne: Cum sanctus tuis in aeternum,
Quia pius es, Requiem aeturnam dona esi,
Domne, et lux perpetua luceat eis
Cum sanctis tuis in aeternum, quia pius es...

Dies illa, diea irae, calamitatis et miseriae,
Dies magna et amara valde, Dum veneris
Judicare saeculum per ignem.
Requiem aeternam.

(ha! I shouldn't even try translating this, but here goes...
I think it has something to do with eternity...more perpetual light
and then a bunch of conjugations that I don't have a clue about
-reno)
